Kathryn and Ethan found me through Here Comes The Guide, (an elite listing of wedding vendors who must qualify for inclusion). Kathryn’s last name happens to also be “Myers” and I joked that she really shouldn’t leave our legacy. But on second thought, I must admit trading-up for an easier-to-spell last name is totally understandable.
Later we all joined on a Skype call where I learned that Kathryn and Ethan are both athletes, live in San Francisco and value fun and photography. In planning for their portrait session, I asked them what locations interested them, and if they had a special place. They had chosen the San Francisco Sutro Baths – a once gorgeous, privately owned public saltwater bathhouse that burned down in 1967. It is now an icon and over-all remains a very cool place to see. I had never visited the Sutro Baths, but will definitely visit again and would recommend it to others as a great backdrop for some very cool pictures.
Though a bit windy, it was a great choice for the portraits. I’m looking forward to their wedding. To be continued in August!
